My Don't List
Don't eat low fat, light or diet foods - They are packed full of sugar which will impact your blood sugars and make you want more, more more! Without the fat they are not satisfying!
Don't skip Meals - if you skip meals your metabolism gets slower and you result in storing fat rather than burning it!
Don't Ignore your bodies need for water - water is essential for detoxing and loosing weight
Don't drink coffee for a pick me up - this starts the roller coaster of the fight or flight mode, it effects your adrenal glands and how they produce hormones.
Don't count calories - it makes you obsessed with food for all the wrong reasons, if you are eating healthy you don't need to count your calories!
Don't skin breakfast - if you skip breakfast you set yourself up for a fall for the rest of the day as your blood sugar levels will drop quickly and you start to crave sugar!
Don't fast - it will result in you over eating later on in the day!
My Do's List;
Do eat vegetables and fruit every single day, including the weekend - this is when the most damage is done to the waist line, when you are out of your routine. It is very important for weight loss to have high fiber foods, so do eat your fruit and veg over the weekend also - its a must!
Do drink 8 glasses of water a day - spread out through out the day,not all at once!
Do exercise 3 times a week and allow yourself self rest days for muscle recovery.
Do more cardio and less weight lifting, as you need to burn fat first before you create bulk onto of fat!
Do keep a food diary - Sometimes we just forget what we have eaten or drank throughout the day, it is important to write everything down until you have a handle on eating healthier.
Do eat multiple times a day - eating little an often is very effective in boosting your metabolism and loosing weight.
Do identify one thing you are going to change about your eating habits this week. Just one thing and then take it from there!
